David Niven, aka James David Graham Niven (1910-1983): Oscar-winning British actor, soldier and novelist who, despite his cred as a debonair leading man in classic Hollywood films, appeared comparatively few times in MAD; almost always drawn by Drucker, probably because Mort always made such an exemplary job of his likeness.
Seen here in (right) The Guns of Navarone (‘Minestrone’, writer Larry Siegel, #68 1962); TV’s The Rogues (‘The Rooks’, writer Stan Hart, #97 1965); and the generic Typical Success Story Movie of the Past (#126 1969).
