Einat Peled is an artist and editorial illustrator who contributed to the Israeli edition of MAD Magazine over 30 years ago. Although she has never considered herself a traditional comic artist or cartoonist, she became involved with the publication through her connections with Yirmi Pinkus and Rutu Modan, whom she had studied alongside at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design a few years prior.
For her contribution to MAD, Peled illustrated a cover featuring Dan Shilon, a well-known Israeli media personality and television host.
Reflecting on the Israeli edition of MAD, Peled remembers it as a highly unique project created by a group of exceptionally talented individuals.
