One of the most famous artists at the Dutch MAD Magazine was Willy Lohmann. He contributed the art for many Dutch MAD covers and drew also a lot of interior pages for MAD.

Beside his work for MAD he was a very popular cartoon artist, famous for the following works:

  • 'Bazurka en Jampie Hoed' for the ‘Algemeen Dagblad’ (a Dutch daily newspaper)
  • 'Tim en Tokkie' for Libelle
  • Publisher of 'Berend Plunkerman' for ‘De Spiegel’ from 1962 to 1964

Willy Lohmann is best known for 'Kraaienhove', of which about 50 stories were published on a daily base in the Amsterdam newspaper Het Parool between 1962 and 1972.
