Cracked went a few issues without Severin art. I told the new publishers if they don't have Severin, they don't have Cracked and that it would die soon. They told me to get Severin at any price! Turns out Laikin had called him and offered an insulting page rate. Then I found out he was also getting kickbacks from the other artists and reprinting material from other humor mags and pocketing the payments as if they were new. Needless to say, I got Severin back in the pages!
