In this picture by Bowen Alfred has flipped the script on Uncle Sven. Someone has also made the audio control room into a large aquarium.

Sven Jerring didn't just report on sports back in the time, he also had a radio program, "Barnens Brevlåda" (Children's Letterbox) where kids up to the age of ten (I think) got to show their talent by telling a story, singing or play an instrument. Sven Jerring became "Uncle Sven" with Sweden and when that program went off air for that last time in 1972, after 47 years and 1785 broadcastings, it was for a few years one of the world's most long lived radio programs. Sven Jerring had been the main compère for the entire duration. During this time many of Sweden's artists had made their beginning in the program.
