Every May 1st in NYC the Commies would have a celebration in Union Square. I spent some time in Germany earlier and figured out that communism stank so wanted to do an all Commie issue of Cracked that came out around May Day. We got in trouble with Canadia (where we were printed) because we made note of us (USA) exploiting a 3rd world country (Canada) by indicating it there in our indicia. We had to change it or they wouldn't print our mag. Later when I was doing Monsters Attack!, we learned Canada still had crime & horror comic laws on the books and we might be banned there. They never followed up, though I wish they had! Would've been a great international free speech issue and get us publicity!
