Four years after the release of the MAD number 1, the publisher Whitestone tried to copy the MAD success and created the Lunatickle magazine. It's style and humour was widely adopted from the original MAD magazine. However, it started as a magazine from the beginning. The magazine came with colored covers and b/w interior pages. Only 2 issues were published until April 1956.
