Diogenes Kamenos was born in 1948 in Limassol, Cyprus, and attended a school specializing in psychology after finishing high school.

In 1975, he began his long-term collaboration with the daily and Sunday newspaper “ELEFTHEROTYPIA”, where he left his mark with his purely political sketches. The highlight of his career was the humorous column “Mitsos and Katinaki”, whose content was groundbreaking for the time and was later published in a book series. In addition to his work at “ELEFTHEROTYPIA”, he also worked with other newspapers such as “EXORMISI”, “SUNDAY MORNING” and “SATYRIKI” as well as in the magazine Tipo, in publications such as “GOL”, “TRAST TOU LAUGHTER”, together “MAD”, with imaginative and remarkable illustrations and comics.

Diogenes Kamenos was an extremely talented professional, but also a very likeable person who was loved by his colleagues and collaborators. He was characterized by his optimism and always faced adversity with a smile, while demonstrating ethics, dignity and collegial solidarity throughout his career.
