Gustavo Machado Ferreira is a Brazilian comic book artist . He started his professional career in 1977, at the age of 18. He was as a member of the team of the comic book " Sítio do Picapau Amarelo ", produced by Rio Gráfica e Editora (RGE), currently Editora Globo.
Gustavo Machado was also known for illustrating stories by José Carioca (or Zé Carioca) from Disney for Editora Abril. At Mad, he was still just a reader and sent an art, but he turned professional shortly afterwards at RGE.
