Duane Waterman
Duane WatermanMonday, April 24th, 2017 at 11:50am

I'm opting out and dropping my MAD subscription. I enjoy satire and parody. I don't enjoy mean spirited attacks. My personal life mantra is still... what, me worry.

Chuck Curtis Grow a pair.
Duane Waterman I've got a pair the size of cantaloupes, and a dong like a ball bat. So, get off my hairy ass and leave me alone.
Jerry Moore Please drop out of this group as well.
Timothy Guetling Comedy evolves with the age. There are three comic/satireist left that don't use "vulgarity," as comedy, MAD Magazine, Leon and Letterman. MAD goes after everyone and at 60, has mellowed and matured but still, nothing is barred. If you want to leave, your choice, but don't blame MAD, your choice!
Donny Caldwell What's the point of making this announcement? If you're waiting for someone to hold you in a warm embrace and dab away your tears, it ain't gonna happen. You'll find yourself being lampooned in an upcoming issue. signed Roger Kaputnik
Donny Caldwell How "Jewish Mother-esque" is that??? I guess I was wrong...everybody hates me. I guess I'm just the kind of person people like to hate
Gary Sabo why the need to announce it?
Timothy Guetling Must be a case of Spy vs Spy that was submitted personally that was rejected. BLEEECH!
Joe Caratenuto MAD has changed. To me personally I find it a lot less appealing than the magazine I read in the 80's and early 90's, but whatever. They're the only game left in town as all the other humor (knockoff) magazines are now defunct. Maybe the lack of competition is allowing them to coast and rest on their laurels a bit? Maybe it's the old usual gang of idiots dying and retiring from the magazine that's changing it? Who knows. Not that they suck now, just different.
Pamela LeClaire a hairy ass, baseball bat dong, and cantaloupe balls? damn! bye, Felicia!
Tom Ausnehmer Yes , please do us a favor and just go away, no need to announce, just quietly go away. Thanks
Harold Ball Flounce if you must.
Joseph Storm Humor trumped by politics huh?
Sungkum Longchar Whatever, mad is mad
Paul Luiso I read a lot of Mad magazines when I was a kid in the '60's. In fact, I've still got quite a few of them including the double sided Kennedy/Nixon election issue! IMHO, Mad has gone WAY downhill since then.
Tommy Stevens Maybe the magazine has changed. Or maybe we're all older and we don't have the same sense of humor that we did when we were twelve. Maybe instead of wanting to laugh at the whole world, we want our part of it to remain unharmed while we laugh at the parts we don't like.
Jerry Moore Trump voters do not have a sense of humor, especially about their role model. Were you also that upset about Nixon jokes?
David Strickler I'm perfectly fine with any humor, regardless of where it falls on the political spectrum. Still love MAD.
Jonathan Sprague Mad used to rip Obama. I didn't care and I'm a Democrat. For me, there's only one test: Is the bit funny?
Lachlan McLennan the only non-funny MAD ever did was very sarcastic on the 1970s sit-com Hogans Heroes which took place in a military prison in WWII--my father was at Belsen Bergen after it was liberated, he would never speak about it but if someone mentioned concentration camp you could feel the tension 20 feet away.
