John Denver played a mild-mannered supermarket manager chosen by the Almighty - as played by George Burns - to receive his holy message in the 1977 comedy Oh, God! Writer-artist Tom Hachtman blended the flick with a certain Mafia-themed series to come up with "Oh, Godfather!" It ran as part of the first edition of Hachtman's "MAD Double Features," which first appeared in MAD #259 (December '85).

I remain mystified as to how MAD's editors and/or Don Martin determined John Denver was a "rock musician" and included him on Martin's legendary Rock Music Poster from MAD Super Special #25 (Fall '78).
